On-device processing
Your photos and results are processed on your device. Required models are included in the app. SideMatte does not send your images to a server.
Local storage
Preferences and projects available in your edition are kept in private app storage. Automatic Android backup is disabled. Uninstalling or clearing app data deletes them. In Pro, export your projects to keep a copy.
Retention, deletion and sharing
Photos, projects and results stay on your device until you delete them in the app or clear its data. This does not delete exported files or originals kept elsewhere. An exported project contains photos and may retain their original metadata. Check its contents before sharing: the app does not encrypt this file.
Your data and rights
Matthieu SAUVET is your contact for processing by the publisher. He cannot access projects stored on your device. If you contact support, your email address and correspondence are used to handle your request; do not send unnecessary photos or sensitive documents. You may request access, correction or deletion of data held by the publisher, and exercise other applicable rights, at the address below. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr). For Google’s own processing, consult its privacy policy and your Google account settings.
No account or audience measurement
The Android app uses no SideMatte account, subscription or sign-in cookies. It includes no advertising or first-party audience measurement tools. Google Play manages purchases and restoration, as described below.
Store and external documents
Google Play manages purchases and restoration under its terms and privacy policy. SideMatte keeps the signed receipt in private storage and queries Google Play at startup and on returning to the foreground to verify Pro access. No SideMatte server receives your purchases or photos. Imported and exported files are handled by your chosen document provider.
